Austria and Switzerland together are said to be the winter sports capitals of Europe. The tram moving around Vienna has recently been converted into a mobile disco and has been fitted with lights and decks. Culture of Austria has seen a great influence from the neighbors of the country which are Italy, Germany, Hungary and Bohemia. The birth to Art Noueva took place in 1897 after the rise of Vienna succession which had many great names to it attached. The literature here is a significant part of the Austrian culture. Austria has been a home to many famous and world renowned writers who have penned some really important things. Vienna has remained as an important place for innovation in music. The focus on musical instruments can be seen and especially on the lute. Habsburgs was once the European capital of classical music. Austria is rich in Roman Catholic tradition as well, with one of the oldest cathedrals, the Minoritenkirche, in Vienna. A famous Austrian palace is the Schonbrunn, which is home to the Austrian Gallery. The modern republic of austria was formed in 1918 which was after the World War I. Then the place was divided into a number of components due to its defeat in the war. It was not until the end of the war that Austria tried to distance itself from Germany. In 1945, Austria was divided into zones of occupation like Germany. Meanwhile history of Austria can be traced back to the Hallstatt culture in the central Europe during the Bronze Age and the La Tene culture of the Iron Age in Europe.
